Shahzia is a trained designer with expertise in 3D Visualizations, Architecture, Urban design and Master-Planning. She completed her Bachelor in Architecture (B.Arch.) from BRAC University in Dhaka, Bangladesh and received her Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) with a concentration in Urban Design & Infrastructure from the College of Architecture, Planning & Landscape Architecture at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.

 

She currently teaches undergraduate and graduate level courses in architecture, urban design and digital visualizations at the Academy of Art University and University at Albany, SUNY. She has also taught a course in digital visualization for urban spatial representation in the Department of Urban & Regional Planning at San Jose State University. She has worked as a Designer at Behan Planning & Design in Saratoga Springs, New York and also gained expertise on various computer applications as a 3D Visualization Specialist at Newlands & Company, Inc. in Portland, Oregon. Formerly she has worked as a Visualization Architect at Brahe & Bestec - a Danish JV in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

 

Shahzia is an experienced photographer specializing in landscapes, portraits, and events, and is well versed in post-production techniques using Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and other software. In her leisure time, she plays with colors through her paintings and 3D digital art.

 

She draws her teaching motivation from years of visualization experience from Asian, European and North American markets. Shahzia aims to leverage these skills and experiences to also provide stunning imagery and creative design work. She loves to travel and capture dynamic colors of everyday life and candid interactions of people around her. She currently resides in San Ramon, California with her husband, daughter and son.
